How to Make Mooli Ke Parathe (Punjabi Mooli Paratha Recipe)

For Making Mooli Paratha Stuffing – 

Step 1:  Grate Raddish and Squeeze to Rmove Excess Water

Start by shredding the radish and squeezing out the excess water. Use this water to make the dough soft and pliable. 

Step 2: Add Spices

Add Spices In a bowl, combine the shredded radish, chopped radish greens, chopped green chili, red chili powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder.

Step 3: Mix and Divide the Stuffing Portions

For Making Mooli Paratha – 

Step 1: Make Dough from Wheat Flour

To make the dough, mix wheat flour, oil, and salt in a bowl. Add water from the grated radish and knead it into a soft and smooth dough. You may need to add some more normal water if the dough is too dry. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes with a plate on top. 

Step 2: Divide the Dough 

Sprinkle some wheat flour on a plate for rolling. Take the dough and split it into six pieces of equal size. Roll each piece into a ball and press it lightly with your hands.

Step 3: Roll the Dough

Place a flattened ball on a rolling board (chakla) and roll it into a small circle of about 4-5 inches in diameter. Put some stuffing in the center of the circle. 

Step 4: Seal the Paratha

Bring the edges of the circle together and seal the stuffing inside. Make a stuffed ball and press it gently to flatten it. Dust it with some wheat flour and roll it carefully into a bigger circle of about 6-7 inches in diameter. 

Step 5: Cook Mooli Paratha

Heat a tava over medium flame. When it is hot enough, place the stuffed paratha on it. Cook until you see small bubbles on the surface, then flip it over. 

Drizzle some oil on the paratha and spread it with a spatula. Cook for another 30 seconds, then flip it again and repeat the same process. Cook until both sides have light brown spots. 

Step 7: Serve
